Ljutomerčan is a white wine sort, a harmony of some of the most well represented wine sorts in our wine growing area: Italian Riesling, Sipon, Rhine Riesling, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon. The wine is light, fresh, fit to drink, and sophisticated and has a subtle fruity aroma. The Sipon is wine with a very fresh flavour, greenish–yellow colour, and alluring fruit bouquet, of which the most predominant is the fragrant of perfectly ripe pear. The nice acid flavour is well integrated in the moderate alcohol content; therefore the wine goes well with numerous dishes and creates a harmonic flavour. The Italian Riesling is a very popular and widely grown wine sort in the Ljutomer Hills, therefore it can without any hesitation be called a wine king of Prlekija region. Chardonnay is a popular wine sort that amazes us with a whole range of fruit bouquets, of which the citrus fruits accentuate the freshness of the wine together with a nice acid flavour. Sauvignon were until recently called Muskat–Sylvaner. The wine has a greenish colour and a specific characteristic of the wine sort that is especially well expressed by its bouquet of freshly mowed grass, green pepper and gooseberry. The Rhine Riesling has a nice fresh flavour with accentuated fragrant and bouquet that resembles the scent of ripe peaches and apricots soaked with a mixture of herbs and honey. The quality of Rhine Riesling increases with maturing. The Traminer wine sort in of golden yellow colour with a very specific fragrance and a nice bouquet that resembles that of the wild rose. The extract contributes to the full flavour of the wine, whereas the less acid and semisweet flavour create the harmony of flavour.
